i woke up this morning

and found a birthday card beside my laptop

it's the first birthday card i received from my sis

she always mentioned how cute and sweet i was

to draw her birthday cards when i was a little kid

which i stopped doing so now.

although my drawings were really distorted and ugly

she thinks its cute and thoughtful.

i wanted to thank her when she's back

but i forgotten all about it

cause i was researching on achem stuff

when she came home.

now that i'm packing in the dark

my laptop light shone onto her card

and then i remembered but she's asleep already

i love surprises cause i never gotten much

it doesnt have to be those really big ones

it may seems cliche but really its the thought that counts

it wasn't one of the most encouraging message i received from her by far

but it's the unexpected thoughtfulness of her

that made it special

so perhaps i should wake up a little earlier tml

and offer her a hug

cause i never did.
